Bio
Givanildo Vieira de Souza, aka Hulk, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for F.C. Porto in the Portuguese first division. On the eve of the Super Cup match between Porto and Barcelona, Mizuno revealed that their ambassador, Hulk, will wear a unique pair of the brand’s Morelia boots for the big game. The gold boots have been specially designed and embroidered to commemorate the Brazilian star’s remarkable 2010/2011 season during which FC Porto won the Portuguese League, the League Cup and the Europa League Cup, and Hulk himself achieved top goal scorer status in the Liga Sagres with 23 goals.As his nickname suggests, Hulk's strength and stocky build are considered his foremost attributes, along with speed, acceleration, and a powerful shot. Coupled with his explosive on pitch personality, this means he is somewhat true to the nickname he has been given. However, its origins stem from when he received the nickname Hulk due to his resemblance to actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the comic book hero.
