Mizuno – manufacturing milliseconds in Vancouver

Super G, Slalom, Half-Pipe, Speed Skating, Ice Hockey...take your pick over the next few weeks. The waiting is up.

Since the curtain came down on the Torino Games in 2006, it has always been about this moment. And with the flame about to fire up in Canada, now is the chance for athletes to finally put the record straight and deliver the performance of a lifetime, on the biggest stage of all.

It is fair to say that a lot has changed in four years. Records have tumbled, times are now quicker and jumps bigger. The boundaries have constantly been pushed, and in sports where the winning margins can be a matter of milliseconds, they needed to be.

Athletes have been training tirelessly and the same can be said for Mizuno, who continue to lead the way with revolutionary technical apparel that might just give competitors the edge. And as one of the world’s leading sports brands, it’s only right that Mizuno are in the mix for medals in Vancouver and is being used by a number of the top stars.

Croatia’s national treasure Janica Kostelic (above) wore Mizuno on her way to the Alpine Skiing Gold medal in Torino, supported all the way down the mountain by Mizuno’s unrivalled aerodynamics. This time round it is the turn of her elder brother and Mizuno Ambassador Iveca, who goes for the Slalom title after picking up Silver in 2006.
